Mr. Drumm is a cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo and a graduate of the University of Buffalo Law School. He is a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly known as the American Trial Lawyers’ Association), New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association, New York Bar Association, and Erie County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of New York, the Federal District Court for the Western District of New York, as well as the United States Supreme Court. He has over 38 years of litigation experience in State and Federal Court, handling complex cases in the areas of medical malpractice, motor vehicle liability, nursing home negligence, product liability, and construction accidents. Mr. Drumm also has significant appellate experience before the Appellate Division, Fourth Department; as well as the New York Court of Appeals. He has argued over 50 appeals during the course of his career.
Mr. Drumm was instrumental in achieving the passage of Kathy’s Law in 1998, which increased the penalties imposed upon nursing home staff who abuse their patients. He toured portions of New York State with then New York Attorney General Dennis C. Vacco, speaking in support of Kathy’s Law; which was named after a Rochester, NY nursing home patient who was abused by a staff member. The law was passed, and signed into law by then New York Governor George E. Pataki in 1998.
