Ms. Fahey was admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York in 1990 and has concentrated her practice in litigation, including medical malpractice, nursing home, motor vehicle and other personal injury actions.
She has represented families of children who have special needs to ensure appropriate educational services. Ms. Fahey is skilled in the negotiation of settlements in cases involving catastrophic injuries. She is knowledgeable in handling all aspects of settlements involving the Medical Indemnity Fund, which was created to provide for the medical needs of babies injured around the time of birth. She received her undergraduate and law degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985 and 1989, respectively.
In law school she was the recipient of the Robert J. Connelly Award for trial technique. Ms. Fahey is admitted to practice in both the Federal and New York State Courts. Ms. Fahey’s professional memberships include the New York State Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, and the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association. Ms. Fahey was a Director for the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association from 2013-2015.
She served as Chair to the Board of Directors of the Children’s Guild Foundation from 2013-2016 and has served as a Board Member since 2008. Ms. Fahey has been named a Super Lawyer each year, beginning in 2012.
