Wegman’s issues recall of hard-cooked eggs
Brown Chiari is investigating this recall, which involves hard-cooked eggs and other prepared deli foods because of the possible contamination with the listeria bacteria. These products were sold at Wegman’s stores between January 23, 2012 and February 1, 2012. It is the result of a recall by Minnesota-based Michael Foods, which produces the cooked eggs at a facility in Wakefield, Nebraska. Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections. More information on listeria is available on the Food Poisoning section of this web site.
